Installing MAX LED Downlights

MAX LED Downlights are versatile and unique, making them the perfect choice for existing or new installations.

New installations: ensure the right amount of light and color temperature. Light serves the function of the space where the well-being and functioning of the user is central. Determine how to switch, determine how many MAX LED Downlights can be connected to the e-installation. Select the desired connection technology.
Work with a mold to make nice cutouts.

Existing installations: for existing installations, follow the above tips, with 1 big difference: measure the existing recesses carefully. Determine if there should be back timbers behind, determine the clearance above the ceiling and check the connections. The fastest way to install is to connect to the current system. The MAX LED Downlights can be ordered with all conceivable connection systems.

Making holes in the ceiling

With a good sharp knife you can easily cut the desired hole in suspended ceilings

The advantages of milling holes + lumber in 1 at a time:

– little to no pollution
– quickly learned
– perfect cutouts

Needed: industrial vacuum cleaner (dust-safe & fit to router), router, jigs (1x cutout jig & 1x for securing ceiling plate & cutout jig), work table.

Provide proper tools and work environment

This is how you work quickly, efficiently and without errors

Place the ceiling tile and back wood in a mold

Make sure that the ceiling tile and back wood are firmly seated in the mold

Place the mold for the desired cutout size

When everything is in place then place the jig for the desired cutout on top of the back timbers (ceiling tile is below)

Milling out

Make sure you have an industrial vacuum cleaner connected to the cutter that is dust-proof and fits the cutter.
Drill a hole where the router will fit. Take the router and mill out the desired cutout along the outside of the mold
