Aluminum belongs to the exclusive category of raw materials that are indefinitely recyclable, with available sources of recycled aluminum. Using recycled aluminum requires only 5% of the energy needed to produce new aluminum. A thoughtful choice of alloy, optimally combined with recycled aluminum, reduces CO2 emissions by more than 90%. The MAX LED Downlights were therefore designed with the intention of using as much recycled aluminum as possible in their production and to be easily recycled at the end of their useful life.
Our local powder coating process, supported by powder coating from our Italian supplier, provides accurate insight into the coating recipe. This allows us to ensure quality, monitor health effects and reduces our dependence on the global supply chain. This process not only reinforces our ecological commitment, but also ensures a consistently high-quality end product. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond aesthetics; it is an intrinsic aspect of both our production method and philosophy.
The concept of total cost of ownership (TCO) provides a clear understanding of a critical aspect of sustainable products: the cost over the entire life of the product. This results in a lifetime of more than 100,000 hours (L80B10) and industry-leading energy efficiency (up to 140lm/W).
